Welcome to my new blog. I enjoy meeting new students and working with them to make mathematics less challenging and more fun. I look at each problem as a puzzle to be solved and share the tools and tricks which I have used throughout my career to strengthen the skills that students use both in the classroom and on standardized tests.
I may not post here very often, as I prefer to be solving math problems, but if you contact me here, I will be happy to reply!

- Retired from the corporate world, I am an adjunct mathematics professor who has been tutoring mathematics for over 23 years. Some of the subjects that I tutor are: SAT, ACT, SAT IC, and SAT IIC Calculus, PreCalculus, Trig, Geometry and Algebra. I have earned my BA and MS in mathematics. I tutor high school and college students in their home. I have had great success working with students at all capability levels. If you have an occasional homework problem and you are stuck, I will do phone or web consultation, for example, using SKYPE.

My son, Beau, probably spent on and off 2 years with Bob after working with someone else.It was important, as for most teens, to be comfortable with a tutor especially. He connected with him. His skill, personality, and the way he taught Math so he could understand was wonderful. Thank you Bob! Beau is doing well and I am sure one day will be very thankful you were there to help him. Also, Bob make a "mean" loaf of bread!

I've always enjoyed Math and felt pretty confident with it up until this year when I started with Geometry. I quickly invested in a tutor (Bob) for some extra help and am extremely thankful I did that. Not only does Bob assist me when I'm confused, but always makes sure that I completely and fully understand what I am learning, not like most tutors. Bob truly has been a great help!
Bob has tutored me for about 3 years in subjects ranging from algebra to calculus. He has been very knowledgeable about all subjects in math including tips and tricks about the SAT I and SAT II. He makes understanding the problems much easier and much less challenging and shares good tips on how to do more complex mathematics problems. I highly recommend him.
I worked with Bob from about January until early May. He worked with me on practice tests for the SAT at first and then for the SAT II Math IIC. I did very well on both of these tests and got very high scores. More importantly though I enjoyed working with Bob very much. We got along very well and I enjoyed just talking to him not about the problems on the practice test but about other things. I would recommend Bob to anyone looking for a Math tutor. I would also recommend buying some bread from him, it is very good!

Where do we begin...Bob has been an absolute Godsend for us these past three years. We are so grateful for the day he entered our lives. Our son, Kyle, was struggling in math. He had failed high school algebra. There was even concern that Kyle had a learning disability. Well, that changed almost immediately. Bob, with his great skill, amazing teaching style, patience, and positive attitude and personality was able to turn our F math student into an A+ math student! Bob made it fun and pleasurable. Kyle never complained about going to see Bob or doing the homework. With each wonderful math test grade, Bob would celebrate with Kyle as if it were his very own achievement! What's even more amazing is the fact that these improved grades caused his overall confidence to soar in every other aspect of his life! He was no longer unsure of himself because Bob gave him the confidence and taught him that he could do anything he wanted to do if he put his mind to it, just like he had in math. When it came to SAT time, Bob was right there coaching Kyle through many practice tests improving his score significantly! No longer do any of us run to retrieve a calculator any time we need to solve an every day life math problem (e.g., restaurant tips, tax, etc.). Kyle can do the math in his head in no time! Bob, you know how much we appreciate you! We so highly recommend you to any student needing math tutoring...mentoring...coaching, etc.!
